Protecting our blogs intrusion is extremely important not want to suffer the risk of seeing our blog offline, or lose the contents of it, for it is also important to make backups to our blog as I said here in a post.
Then I will list some aspects that must be taken into account.
- We must know where to host our sites / blogs have some sort of safety for our files (usually have, if not already is severe).
- For those who use WordPress should always have the latest version and go reading the posts of the WordPress Development , the last to know which system failures and even new updates.
- If you still want to be more accurate we can add a file. Htaccess in wp-admin folder of our WordPress Blog and limit which people have access to the admin panel on our blog.
The. Htaccess file should contain this:
AuthUserFile / dev / null
AuthGroupFile / dev / null
AuthName "Access Control"
AuthType Basic
order deny, allow
deny from all
allow from 127.0.0.1
In "allow from 127.0.0.1" should replace the IP by our. Who has dynamic IP should be aware that you must always be to change the file.

These very important tips on their web hosting blogs besides conserving. Much of the editors of blogs have a lot of work to prepare and publish an article. This is very important, was the time I did not make a backup of my blog, I just forgot, now I always do.

Hello,
Quite interesting your tip is always good to keep backups of both the wordpress mysql as the day and if you can keep a mirror of your site to do if someone spoofing a DNS redirecting to another site, your site does not become inaccessible as with the 4shared lately.

For Blogger / Blogspot do not know any of these techniques, but certainly the leaders of Blogger / Blogspot should perform some sort of backup, is a matter of informing. Where can go keeping your posts in Word document or subscribe to the RSS feed itself via email, and go keeping the emails.
